Remote-First Working Statement

Six months ago, IceBoxDesigns enacted a temporary remote working policy. It was the appropriate response to Covid-19 and has, fortunately, proved successful in terms of the health and safety of our team.

As an digital agency, we were in a uniquely favourable position that allowed us to be early adopters of remote working – which has subsequently proven to be highly positive for our business.

In this time we have:

● Restructured our teams to improve efficiency.
● Onboarded a new team member based solely on skills, not location.
● Introduced extended flexible working hours.

These measures, coupled with zero travel and reduced work-related costs means our teams now have more time to spend with their loved ones during this highly stressful and unnerving time.

So what does our working culture look like in the future?

As we’re seeing a gradual relaxation of lockdown policies, businesses like ours now have greater freedom to return back to our offices. This is not the approach IceBoxDesigns will take. Instead, we’re delighted to announce that IceBoxDesigns is now a ‘remote-first’ digital agency.

When it is safe to do so, there will still be a place for meeting in person, but our offices are no longer our default. We acknowledge that moving back to our old approach would be just that – a backwards step for us as a company. Naturally, this radical approach comes with its own challenges but we have a fantastic, collaborative team who are aligned with our mission to create better digital products that we have proven can be achieved on a remote basis.
